Our Union Square branch is iconic in Aberdeen as a place where great food, wine and knowledgeable staff offer a fantastic customer experience.
We are looking for additions to our team, who need to be highly motivated, sales driven candidates, with a passion for food and wine. Retail and cafe experience is essential, duties include food and wine sales, offering excellent customer service, and giving our customers the fantastic service that Peckham's pride themselves on. Suitable candidates must possess top notch customer service skills and have relevant customer facing experience. You do not need to have worked in a deli or wine shop previously (although it would be a great bonus) but must have a keen and enthusiastic interest in our products and business.
Our main aim is to develop and train and therefore we are always keen to receive applications from those who are interested in pursuing a career with us.
All of our branches have late opening hours, and shifts would be on a weekly variable rota. We take into account your study or other commitments and aim to offer shifts based around those. We do require a good amount of flexibility as you will not work set days each week. Once you have made the commitment to work for us we do ask you to meet this obligation.
Shifts will cover days, evenings and weekends.
Standard shifts are 8 am - 4 pm, 12 noon - 8 pm and 5 pm - midnight
(There are some variations to these in certain branches).
Full time hours are based on an average of 40 hours working 5 shifts weekly. Part Time hours are based on working a minimum of 2 shifts weekly, which is an average of 16 hours.
Christmas and New Year are our busiest trading times and therefore working for us means that you will be required to work on some of the key dates throughout the festive period. We are open on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, Hogmanay, January 1st & 2nd and we ask you to be fully available throughout this time and the week between Christmas and New Year, to do your share.
Stocktakes are held quarterly and it will be a compulsory requirement that you work on these dates in addition to your regular shifts.
